Who We Are

OUR MISSION About Us

After working for Copper Mountain Resort for a combined 8 years, owners Katie Wright and Jay Marshall found that they loved Copper Mountain along with the people who made day to day operations possible. Along with that, they loved the charitable outlook of play forever Thursdays, Copper’s support of the local community, and even supported and originally believed in the vision and culture Copper tries to instill in their employees. However, after years working within the food and beverage department they realized that Copper’s vision and those values seemed to be maybe a bit misguided in some of the employees running the show in that particular department. so with this, their combined love of food, and just wanting to see something slightly healthier and better in center village, Jay and Katie decided to fill a void that Copper Mountain could really use- a restaurant that not only strives to be more nutritious and flavorful, but one that looks out for the people that keep Copper Mountain running.

Sweet Soy not only aims at filling the gap of food that’s not only on the healthier side, we also wanted to provide more variety, not only for everyone but also for those with restricted diets due to allergies and/or personal choices. Healthier food that’s made in house isn’t cheap, and its definitely a labor of love, but we still try to remain more reasonably priced so that locals and tourists without an unlimited budget can enjoy great food even at a restaurant in Center Village. Sweet Soy plans to have daily drink and food specials for employees of Copper Mountain to show our appreciation for the people at the heart of this resort- the lifties, the instructors and Woodward coaches, the F&B staff, the parking attendants, the patrollers, the marketing team, the guest service personnel and call center workers, retail workers, maintenance, and anyone who we may not have mentioned who shows up to make Copper Mountain functional and who may not be getting paid the salary it takes to have it easy in a place like Summit County. We have been you- and we appreciate you!
